🎮 How PlayRestored Works
At PlayRestored, every controller is treated as an individual — not a generic refurbished unit.
🔧 1. Sourced & Restored
We take pre-owned controllers that were headed for game over and give them a second life. Each controller is fully opened up, cleaned inside and out, and checked for common issues like sticky buttons, worn D-pads, and stick drift. Where possible, these issues are addressed before the controller is reassembled and tested.
🧪 2. Tested, Ranked & Fully Listed
Once restored, each controller is tested and given a condition ranking based on both performance and appearance. This includes how the buttons and sticks feel, as well as any cosmetic wear from previous use.
If something can’t be fixed or restored, it doesn’t get hidden. Any remaining faults, wear, or quirks are clearly listed and shown in the photos, so you know exactly what you’re buying.

The controller shown in the listing — including its photos, condition ranking, and full description — is the exact controller you’ll receive. No stock images, no substitutions, no surprises.
📦🌱 4. Packed Responsibly
Your controller is packed using minimal, recyclable packaging wherever possible. Batteries and battery packs are not included.

Every controller is checked before dispatch and comes with a 7-day peace-of-mind return window, making buying pre-owned simple and straightforward.

Frequently asked questions
What is the return policy?
Every controller is cleaned, tested, and major common issues such as stick drift and D-pad faults are repaired before sale.
Because these are used items, some signs of wear are to be expected.
🚫 No General Returns
We do not accept returns for:
- Change of mind
- Cosmetic wear
- Previously described issues
- Minor quirks expected with used controllers
Once delivered, the controller is yours to enjoy 👍
🛠 Limited Warranty — 7 Days
If a new, major fault appears within 7 days that:
- Was not listed in the product description
- Prevents normal gameplay
- Was not caused after delivery (e.g. drops, spills, opening the controller)
We will repair or replace the controller refunds will only be given if neither is possible.

After 7 days, we are unable to offer warranty support.
What is the Shipping Policy?
- We ship within the United Kingdom only.
- Orders are packed and sent within 2–4 business days.
- Delivery usually takes 1–3 business days after dispatch.
- Shipping costs and delivery options are shown at checkout.
- You will receive a tracking link once your order has been dispatched.
- Delays caused by the courier are outside of our control, but we’ll do our best to help if there’s a problem.
